SARAWAK ECONOMICDEVELOPMENT CORPORATION(SEDC)
Sarawak Economic Development Corporation (SEDC) is a statutory agency
that was set up in 1972 to promote the commercial, industrial and
socio-economic development of the state of Sarawak. Engaged in a
wide range of business activities from agro and food industry to
realty development, its tourism and leisure interests are now its
most extensive.
THE TOURISM AND LEISURE DIVISION
Over the past 28 years, the corporation through its Tourism and
Leisure Division has invested more than RM800 million in the state's
tourism and leisure industry, building a portfolio of assets that
range from city hotels and beach resorts to shopping complexes to
tourist attractions such as Sarawak Cultural Village and Damai Golf
& Country Club, to hospitality services such as time-sharing
and hotel management. It is today recognised as a convenient "one-stop
tourism shop" for both customers and business partners alike. |

Most of SEDC's tourism and leisure properties are located in the
choicest locations in the golden triangle area of Kuching city or
by the pristine beaches in Damai, Sarawak's premier resort area.
Most of its properties also carry significant and recognisable brand
names in their respective fields such as "Holiday Inn",
"Arnold Palmer" and "Crowne Plaza" assuring
customers of quality and reliability.

As the longest established and largest player in the state's tourism

Malaysia Gold Award for the Most Outstanding Contribution Towards
Tourism - Government", "Chief Secretary to the Government's
