Kuching Waterfront is located along Jalan Main Bazaar and Jalan Tunku Abdul Rahman, on the southern bank of Sarawak River. It is within walking distance (approximately 2 minutes) from major hotels like Grand Margherita, Riverside Majestic, Hilton and Harbour View.

The Waterfront is 20 minutes drive from Kuching International Airport. From the northern bank, visitors can ride across the river on sampan taxis (known locally as tambangs) to reach the Waterfront for a fare of RM0.40 per person. Places of interest on this northern side of the river are the Astana (Head of State official residence), Dewan Undangan Negeri (new State Legislative Assembly), Fort Margherita and Permaidani Kampung BGS.
